Olde Glory is the perfect example of what happens when a few clever, creative individuals selflessly give of their time, talents and treasures for the benefit of a community.  I have been so privileged to serve behind the scenes alongside these people.  Many organizations know firsthand the excitement of assisting during live theatre and musical performances.  The cozy theatre setting invites you to become a part of the small town hospitality offered here.  A variety of performances available provide cost affordable family entertainment each month.  Plus, there's not a bad seat in the house!

There are countless ways a person can help our small town theatre.  Right now, however, the best support is monetary.  So, send in a small donation to "keep the lights on."  And stay tuned - great performances are on the horizon!

Growing up jealous of my cousins' big city community playhouse opportunities, Olde Glory has been a great addition to the Seward community! Our kids have loved doing the Missoula theater in the summer, complete with workshops, costumes, makeup, and sets. The kids have also been able to develop their talents in the annual Christmas play. It has been a tremendous gift to be able to do community theater right here in Seward. We love being able to give back to the community, as well as keeping our money here as we do our shopping and occasional eating out before or after rehearsals and shows. Having a community theater not only brings people from other communities to Seward, but it also keeps talent and money in our community and adds to our quality of life. We love Olde Glory Theater!

Since moving to Seward nine years ago, our family has enjoyed many events at Olde Glory. These include the Fourth of July events, Christmas shows, Music Concert Series shows, piano concerts, Children’s Missoula Theatre, Melodramas, etc.   We have been honored to sponsor many of those events and volunteer at some of them as well. This past year we treated our employees to their Christmas dinner/show, It’s a Wonderful Life, for our holiday party. Seward is fortunate for a small town to have such wonderful shows and events available here in town. Please consider supporting Olde Glory, so we can show them how much we truly care for all they do and the opportunities they bring to Seward.

As the Chairman of the Seward County Visitors Committee, I am pleased to endorse the Olde Glory Theater and Rental space as a viable asset to Seward County.  This outstanding facility and dedicated Board of Directors continue to present quality programs.  The facility continues to serve the community of Seward and Seward County as a wonderful, needed, welcoming rental space.  Our Seward County Visitors Committee has awarded Olde Glory various funds for specific “Brick and Mortar” and “Advertising/Promotional” Grants over the years and we will continue to support this wonderful space, serving Seward and Concordia University as a very viable educational, recreational, family centered and entertainment facility. Please consider making a significant investment in this outstanding space and organization.  Please support Olde Glory!

My husband and I were introduced to Olde Glory several years ago when a friend reached out to us to assist in making props for one of the plays.  Since then we have continued to build props.  It is a fun and rewarding task we thoroughly enjoy.  We have attended a variety of performances and love what Olde Glory has become.  Community support is vital for an organization like this and we hope you will consider supporting this worthwhile theatre.  It is a wonderful addition to Seward and surrounding communities.

Olde Glory is a wonderful addition to the city of Seward.  The variety of performances offered, the chance for local talent to perform as well as performances by artists brought to Seward from sometimes long distances offers multiple choices of entertainment to audiences.  The chance for youth as well as adults to showcase their talents is another big plus.  In addition to the treater, the social hall, with its small kitchen and remodeled restrooms, affords people from the Seward area and people visiting Seward to gather for reunions, showers, funeral lunches and business meetings.  We are indeed fortunate to have Olde Glory available and affordable to most nearly everyone.

The Seward Fourth of July Celebration Committee is very grateful for the Olde Glory Theater and Hall in Seward, Nebraska!  We are fortunate to use the space during every Fourth of July Celebration in Seward (expect in 2020 of course) and we have continued to find the volunteers and leadership of Olde Glory very willing and happy to assist and help wherever they are needed.  Their theater is perfect for many of our entertainment offerings on the Fourth and we appreciate the help with the annual Fourth of July Barbecue as well.  Please keep the doors of Olde Glory open, as we all need the facility to continue to be part of the Seward Fine Arts scene! Donate to Olde Glory and support their programs. Thank You.

I have been in many shows in Olde Glory with the King's Players and the Goehner Centennial Players, and I have enjoyed every show. Before the King's Players found this gem of a theatre, we were in another auditorium. When we found Olde Glory, we were able to do shows that were much, much better, and the welcoming people there added to our joy. It is not an overstatement to say that without Olde Glory the King’s Players would not be doing shows, and there would be much less community and entertainment in Seward.

We have attended shows at Olde Glory and have loved them all. I have had many friends in those shows and they told me they had so much fun. Last year I tried out and got a part in “It’s a Wonderful Life” and had so much fun. I also helped with costumes, props, and serving dinner. Hoping to get a part this year in “A Christmas Story.” Olde Glory gives everyone a chance to try out and see what talents they have. If you would like an opportunity to shine, please try out, or if you have other talents, let Olde Glory know. Also, working with the VFW, we have used the Olde Glory Community Hall for funeral lunches when the VFW building was booked and are so glad to have it for a backup. We hope you will support this worthwhile organization.

The GFWC Seward Woman's Club members have continued to enjoy the presentations at Olde Glory. The GFWC Seward Woman's Club encourages everyone in the community and the county to support the effort to help Olde Glory.  We especially appreciate the Goehner Centennial players and their annual presentations and the Missoula Children's Theater youth offering every summer.  Our local GFWC Seward Woman's Club has endorsed and supported the arts in Seward for 125 years and Olde Glory is a wonderful example of another group also promoting the Arts.  Please support their fundraising campaign today with a gift to Olde Glory!

Thank you so much for having such a wonderful place to go to. Such a unique venue you have. We have enjoyed all the concerts, dinner theaters and holiday programs. We have attended several events the last several years. We love how they always have everything set up, to the people helping, food, and drinks. Also how they make you feel so welcomed and at home. We love this place and so glad it’s available. Thank you again.

Olde Glory is a wonderful addition to the Seward County Arts Scene, and has evolved into a strong center for live drama, visual arts and entertainment in Seward County.  Please consider a donation to Olde Glory, as they serve all ages of Seward County residents, offering educational and entertainment programs on a year-round basis.  Seward County’s quality of life is high and one of the reasons is that we have and use a facility like Olde Glory in our County.  We have been fortunate to have a dedicated Olde Glory Board of Directors –all working as volunteers to keep the “Arts Alive” in Seward County.  Our Seward Arts Council is one of the oldest community Arts Councils in Nebraska and we were one of the first to endorse and assist Olde Glory to become an established Arts Center.  Please consider an investment to Olde Glory today.  I know the funds will be matched by the Seward County Legacy Fund and your gift will well represent supporting the Arts in Seward County.  Send a check to Olde Glory today!

We love the Olde Glory Theatre! Where else in the United States can you drive such a short distance without parking challenges to see first rate theatrical show or musical productions at such reasonable prices! Just go online and order your tickets or simply give the theatre a call. If you wait until the last minute you can purchase tickets at the door if any are still available. All this, and some of the money raised is given back to the community. Can’t wait until COVID-19 is crushed and we can enjoy Olde Glory again!

About five years ago a friend “roped” our family into volunteering at Olde Glory Theatre. Volunteering one night was all it took too for us to love Olde Glory and their mission to provide low cost entertainment for the Seward community. Seward is additionally blessed to have a venue which showcases local talent and brings diverse shows and performances to the area.

Volunteering has allowed us to make everlasting friendships. We have enjoyed productions and musical performances, eaten amazing meals and learned so much. It is our privilege to support Olde Glory (volunteering, financially, through attendance at shows, renting the building for events etc.) whenever we can.

Due to COVID-19 we have been unable to help and we miss it. Olde Glory Theatre has suffered financially because of the pandemic. The community cannot afford to lose a venue which brings high quality entertainment at a nominal cost to Seward and surrounding counties. Please consider financially supporting this amazing organization.

Jane and I have been to a number of plays and music events at Olde Glory in Seward. We have gone as a date night type of thing and as fellowship events with others from our church. We have over the last few years really enjoyed every event we have been to at Olde Glory. The people there are friendly and create a charming play, dinner or show. Please join us in supporting this organization. Olde Glory Theater in Seward is a shining light that should never be extinguished.
